  1. thank you hun. Don't you worry you visa will come through before you know it!!! sorry to see your sick
  2. thanks! He really is a nice and very helpful CO. I think the longest he took to get back to me was only ever a day and seemed to always pick up when I called. Visa came through exactly when he said it would, so yes... I'm sure you will have the email sat in your inbox within 3 weeks. Good luck x
  3. Thanks so much Jo. I can't believe the wait is now finally over... what a lovely feeling. Very much looking forward to meeting you all in Perth
  4. Not long now Emmaroo and the wait will be over. It really is a wonderful feeling!!! Fingers and toes tightly crossed for you. Hopefully see you in Perth next year!
  5. 4months and 3 days... And I now have the Visa GRANT email Leaving the UK on November 21st , and will be arriving in Perth early Jan. Good luck to all those waiting to have theirs granted this week.
  6. Thanks so much! I have a feeling this will be the longest week of my life. Praying that that email comes through soon. Fingers for crossed for Christinnpete too.
  7. I have literally just put down the phone to him having got through straight away - maybe today is a good time to call... Apparently hoping to have our application finalised in the next few days. Fingers crossed!!!!
  8. Hey there, I didn't have any problems when I originally called, I think I actually got straight through - seemed like a really nice CO. I emailed yesterday, as I'm at the '4 month mark' but have had no reply as yet. Try not to stress too much... (so much easier said than done I know) - if you leave a voicemail I'm sure he will come back to you within the next few days. When did you last call?
  9. Oh no, please don't panic as I'm sure your file is in safe hands... I suspect I was just unlucky. Why don't you give your CO a one line email to say something along the lines of 'I just wondered how things were going and whether you needed anything else' and wait to see if you get an undeliverable message like I did?! If so, then yes I would call just to check your file is being dealt with and hasn't slipped of their radar in the hand over - I don't see that there is any problem with that. And it's certainly not hassling. KJ xx
  10. Yep, our new CO said that for anyone that applied in June or before they are still trying to honour the initial 4month guideline. He said several times that "there was a very good chance it will be granted early Oct" - so I guess that's a good sign but who knows. Fingers crossed for u too
  11. Awesome! Freo initially but may look to move south at a later date. You? We're getting married next year in the Margaret River Yep, lived in Mt Lawley for a yr in 2005. You'll deffs have you visa granted in time.. stay positive!!! In hindsight we probs shouldn't have booked our flights until we had a decision, if the processing times change again we'll lose so much money. We've both handed our notices in too... arrrgh.
  12. The whole process is frustrating, there's so much uncertainty... it wears me our just thinking about it! We're heading to Perth, as my finace is originally from there. He's been over in the London with me for 6 years now, so it's only fair we head back and hey I'm not complaining How about you? I'm just praying that it doesn't get to 4 month mark and then we get the dreaded '5-6month processing' message.
  13. Hey there, Originally MN and now JF? It's so frustrating... if I hadn't have called our file could have potentially 'got lost' in the pile as the new CO was not aware of our case at all. Keep me posted on your progress as our applications are days apart. fingers crossed hey!
  14. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but having been following your posts for sometime. I felt it only fair I share our details; 6th June – front loaded application for temp spouse visa lodged in person @ Australia House 9th June - CO assigned. Email stated that no further info was required and processing time was 3-4 months 7th September – I emailed our CO to find out how the application was going and received an undeliverable email. Obviously a little concerned I decided to call her direct dial and received a voice message stating that she no longer worked at Australia House and was directed to another CO. Spoke to a very friendly guy who informed that he had picked up my original CO’s cases but hadn’t looked at and nor was aware of my case (thank god I called!!) Apparently notes on our file stated that we have met the requirements, but due to the current hold on visa grants I have to contact him again in Oct as there is nothing he can do until the 4 month mark. He also said that although he could not say for definite, it was very likely our application would be granted then provided there are no further changes to immigration rules. We have flights booked for November 21st, so I guess all we can do now is sit tight and keep our fingers tightly crossed – I will keep you all posted…
