Just going to hijack this thread as someone may also be able to help me.. I will be travelling with a 3 year old and 1 year old and taking my phil n teds... but I just want to know if anyone has ever been left without the buggy after you get off the plane? Like surely they wouldnt leave me carrying a 1 year old and a 3 year old and bags on my own??? AARRGGGHH

We emigrating to Brisbane North in 7 weeks EEEEK! And have had our hearts set on a two storey new build. There seems to alot going up around Warner but I cant seem to find anyone that lives there that can shed any light on it. We would love to live around Albany Creek, McDowall, Bridgeman Downs but land prices seem to be way higher so we get alot more for our money in the likes of Warner. Im guessing once I get over there I will prob know myself where I would prefare but just want to see if anyone on here can help. Cheers :-)

just seen your reply now for some reason :-O thanks for that! I am checking gumtree now too. We fly in on the 9th of August so not too long now. Seen some houses up for rent that arent available till July so will keep a look out there, something might come up. We are living with my mother at the mo and altho its fine I would just really like my own place soon as we get to Oz... stay with my brother for a couple of days and then move into to our our space. If we didnt have three smallies it would be easier. Have a rental pack that Ive mailed to a few agencies too so they will keep me in mind and Ive to contact them nearer the time. Fingers crossed. Its hard to know tho what to do as where we rent will influence where my little girl goes to school... but then what happens if we dont actually buy where we are renting... soooooo much to think about!!

Will need a 5 point harness booster seat for my 3 year old and a car seat for my 1 year old when we arrive in Aug. My brother lives in Brisbane North so can collect within reason. Fingers crossed as they seem VERY expensive to buy over there

right so have to sort out insurance.. shippers coming next week... so am i a complete idiot in saying you can either insure all your stuff for either a total loss ie if ship sinks or whatever or individual damage to goods?

Just thought Id put it out there. We are emigrating in Aug 2012 and are looking to get a rental for 6 months ideally but a year if required. Ideally a 3 / 4 bed home with a decent garden suitable for a family with young children. We could pay a few months upfront to secure the right property and my brother who lives in McDowall can view the property on my behalf. If anyone knows of anything let me know. I am in touch with agencies too but I just said Id post here in case someone wants to break there lease or knows of a property. Thanks!!
