  4. Hi guys, I need a king size or larger bed and there is a sale near me now. OH is against buying furniture but I'm not too sure. Any idea how much a good quality bed in solid wood costs in OZ??? I have trawled a few websites but they dont put the prices on in most. Would love to hear from those who have made the purchase or looked into it there? Also is the quality similar or is UK stuff better? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
  5. Hi Everyone I want to buy a new mattress in Melbourne. I would like a good quality and will spend the money but I want to buy it direct rather than from a showroom and cut out the middle man About 18 months back someone suggested a place in Thomastown that was good but I have lost contact with that individual and am struggling to find out which one it was... it could be Permarest. Has anybody any advice where I can buy a firm/med to firm.. pocket sprung, with latex topper or gel mattress of good quality.. I dont want it to be cheap.. just a lot cheaper than the shops In addition to this I want a wooden bed frame too.. is there a wholesaler around that also sells to the public? Thank you in advance for your help Antony
  6. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-20178096.html We are now officially on the market !!! Pimperne is a lovely little village on the outskirts of Blandford Forum, only 25 minutes from Salisbury and Poole where you will find Sandbanks with some of the most expensive real estate in the UK. Only around 30 minutes or so from Lulworth which is the start of the jurassic coast. Dorset is a lovely county wtih pretty good travel links via train, boats from Weymouth and Poole and planes from Bournemouth airport. It boasts some the lowest crime rates in the UK - http://www.police.uk/crime/?q=Pimperne It is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with loads of walking just down the end of the road, the Great Dorset steam fair is held only 2 miles away each year and we have a great pub too; http://www.anvilinn.co.uk/ There is a lovely little school just 5 minutes walk http://dorset.schooljotter.com/pimperne but a new one is soon to be built. It is super quiet with the only real noise is from Compton abbas airfield http://www.abbasair.com/ with the occaisional light aircraft and sometimes the Army Chinooks fly overhead ( the kids love watching them). What more could you want if you are going to move back to the UK???
  7. hi guys Just wanted to see if anyone was interested in a 3 bed house in The Gap - tenant arrive back from travels end of March. Great house ony 500 p week - bargain as we only took it for 7 months but now have a great opportunity up the coast and want to go ASAP. You can walk to the shopping centre and bus stops and park for kids. 15 min into town out of rush hr. The kids all ride on their bikes around here, family friendly, lovely neighbours and we wouldn't want to leave except we have decided we want a coastal lifestyle. Would be great starting point. We rented white goods etc while we were waiting for our belongings and still worked out loads cheaper than a furnished app. Amazing pool and a backyard to play in. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested and I can mail you some pics. owners have been lovely and really would not want to leave them in the lurch - great opportunity . Let me know if you have any further questions thanks Faye
  8. Hi all, I am currently renting a wonderful 4 bed, 2 bathroom house in Winthrop, about 10 minutes from Fremantle and have broke lease. Its positioned in an amazing suburb, with very low crime rates, very friendly area, local shops, excellent primary school, 30 minute drive from the city, 5 minutes away from Bull Creek train station (12 minutes into the city on this train line). Excellent condition house, cream carpets, cream walls, very neutral decor. I have broke lease as I am heading back to the UK at the end of this month. Low rental price too for a very sought after position. Please get in touch with Canning Real Estate, 935 47773. Mackinlay Place, Winthrop is the road and area. Michelle

  12. ...shamefully, in the afternoon, after a 'night shift' watching Spurs. I was brought up in one village - Blackfield - but then 'emigrated' to another - Marchwood - when I went back to England. It's only seven miles but in some ways it's as far away as Sydney. Come to think of it, it was EXACTLY like emigrating! I went through the phases of wanting to be in Blackfield, not Marchwood, then gradually realizing there was very little left in Blackfield, before finally 'growing' into Marchwood. It's a weird feeling going back to a place where you grew up with all its childhood memories & rituals of school, games, football, bike rides, Cubs & Scouts, paper rounds, Easter eggs, picking bluebells, lopping the tops of new-grown bracken, summer hols, blackberries, conkers, Bonfire Night, Xmas. There's no going back now, not with Mum and Dad gone and so many others. I got a shock this year when I heard that a guy I went to school with had died. In the pub last night, standing next to 'Steve', this Pommie 'girl' asked me if he was my son? I shaved my beard off and had been making jokes about being ten years younger and the bouncer asking me for ID too. Sad isn't it, even maudlin!

    What colour vet bed...

I know it's silly and unimportant, but they all cost the same and I'm wondering what colour vet bed I should buy to put inside Satch's kennel? And yes I know it'll be chucked after her flight so doesn't matter in the slightest... Or do different colours help dogs relax? Satch (see my avatar) is a soft golden labrador and my decision is between: Black, Blue (sky not navy), Brown (pale-ish) Grey, Lilac or Pink (quite pale, not fluro) Help anyone? ** edit ** Oh and white as well..

Hi, does anybody have or know anybody who has a travel cot or cot bed for sale in the Bunbury area of Western Australia? 25. Hi there, My hubby has been living out here since August 2009 and rented our current home. However, we've now found somewhere else that we would like to move to, nearer hubby's work and playgroups for my little ones. Our property is rented through PRD rentals and if we can find someone to take over our lease which expires end of January 2011 then it will be a cheaper option, than losing our bond and having to pay for two properties. We are in the Lemongrove area of Penrith, near to local shops. Approximately 15-20 minutes walk to the city centre and train station. Therefore is anyone interested... $360 per week 3 bedrooms - ceiling fans to all / air-con in main bedroom Huge mirrored built in robes to all Internal utility / laundry Bathroom with bath and shower Lounge with separate dining area - air con and log stove Kitchen Small balcony to front of house Larger balcony to rear of house Good-sized garden Garage Car Port Think I've remembered everything. I can email pics Thanks - Liz
