1. Funny about dreams. Annette will go mad with me for this one cos I still haven't told the parents. But I have told them really........ IN MY DREAMS........:SLEEP:It was so real and their reaction was good. Think I need to book a trip to Ireland to let them know the situation. Oh yea, things are happening which is good. Just breathing, eating, sleeping Oz for the last 6 months. You just get 1 thing sorted and the next comes along. Nearly on last hurdle now, so can put the files of paperwork away.....
 2. Oh I know. Going to phone in the morning. Please do probe ?????????? Speak to ya soon. xx
 3. Yea it definitely says Melbourne, but if you want to deliver in person it says to your local office. I just panic that my application never got there. Sent it off on 11-08 and also requested ANMC to forward my stuff on from them around the same time but no confirmation that this has been done........ Might ring them both in the morning before I go to work, make sure APHRA received papers and ANMC posted everything to Aphra....... OMG:arghh: Am I getting obsessed???????? State sponsorship went off on 16th too, so it's all happening........
 4. Can someone please confirm where nursing registration applications should be sent to? I sent mine to the P.O box number in Melbourne as it says at the end of the application, but someone on another thread was told by APHRA her application should of been sent to Queensland. Please help!!!!!!!
 5. Thats great. I can relax now and just fill in the paperwork. Who did you get to witness your signature. Am I right in saying it needs to be like getting a certified copy, such as a solicitor ??? Just need to update my CV now. Good luck. X Helen
 6. Just been on APHRA website, it is $220 for overseas assessments. Just need to fill the form in now and get all sent off. x
 7. Hi ya, Thanks for this. I am at the same stage. Good idea, i'm goin to do the same. Just in the middle of updating my CV and then everything will get sent off. Apparently you need to have at least applied for registration before applying for SS if thats the route anyone else is going down... So I need to get my skates on. For anyone else if you use your login details on ANMC website, you can click on the request button to forward all paperwork on. Cool. x

Hi ya, it's actually a sponsored job. Went to expo in leeds and Ramsay health were there. Went to a seminar, then invited to interview in Leeds. Offeredthe job there and then. It's still there for me on a sponsored visa, but contemplating 457 initially or go straight for 176 SS. But keep checking all the hospitals, especially since you have visa already. Lots of jobs for permanent residents. Ramsay were advertising permanent jobs only recently, have a look at websites. Is this the area you want to go to???

We are planning on going to Brisbane. I do have a sponsored job in Greenslopes which they are holding open for me, but it's the temporary side of things that is holding me back. Looking to live areas on the outskirts of there. Don't mind a bit of commuting as long as we live near the transport. Kids can't wait. They want to live near the beach but as long as I have a nice house with a pool, schools are good, I'll be happy anywhere.

Just can't wait to get going. I get so excited for people who have just got their visa, and especially when they are through so fast.

All the best.

Just looking at your timelines. Have you got friends in high places?????????

As you can see from my thread, I sit IELTS this week, once passed I plan on submitting skills assessment and the SS qld. I've lost 15 points recently because of MODL been taken away. So hence going for SS.

Are all your dates right. Can't believe how fast your visa was granted from submitting in January.

Are you able to have meds done before CO then??

I hope ours go through as quick as yours?

When do plan on moving?

All the best, Helen

 11. How did you manage to get the transcript for your course. I am in the same prediciment. I qualified in 1993 and now the school of nursing has closed. I completed ENB 146 RGN. Glad to see timings of how long it took to get visa approved. Just at the start of it all. Happy new year......
