Our application is at Adelaide Office:wacko: so god knows what the hold up is, I have already emailed my agent and he said he would follow up and said he would get back to me as I did mention that if he didn't I would do it myself so I am now waiting for him to get back to me, How long did it take for you to get a response to your email? I think mine kids will need ex rays well one is an adult now as he is 18 but the other 2 are 12 and 14 with both having birthdays coming up so will be 13 and 15 so not so little anymore, thanks for the info. Tania

Run out of hair to pull out lol only joking, no unfortunately their are still a few of us still waiting well only 4 on this thread that I know of and you learn to be patient after waiting nearly 3 years, I have had an email from my agent to say he will contact DIAC on my behalf and get back to me I have no news as yet. 5th of September is when I am back at work after having 6 weeks off if I get a CO then I will be screaming the whole school down. Yeah I need to do the same stop spending the money!! but after living in limbo for so long then managing to get back on with my life here its hard to imagine that we could be moving to Australia soon, I guess Preston high street better be prepared!! :biggrin: Is that in Preston if so that's not far from me. Thanks for the information, I am trying to be patient on waiting for a CO now being Nov 08 I wonder if its because I am paper based application, I have had an email from my agent to say he will contact them in regards to my application but no news as yet. I have noticed that the date you have put for police checks is 2012 I think you meant 2011? I have added the details to the front page thanks. Tania:biggrin:

It must have been a hard decision to make but like you said if you get a CO you can always re book and gives you time to save so I guess their is a positive, good luck and I hope you hear something soon. Tania

Hi Su, Only one I have seen who is not a Fitter but was in the same position being put back on the sol, Hey guys, I’ve been a reader (not a commentator) of the forum for the past year but I just literately opened my account just to let you guys know that I have a CO. Well as a matter of fact, just to let Tania know that I have a CO (we are on the same boat here, old cat 4, now new cat 4 members). I lodged my 885 application in August 2009 (Solicitor) and after all the madness with CSL, old SOL and so on, I was sent to the old category 4 (now category 5) but provided that my occupation was included in the new SOL I was moved to new category 4 on 1-07-11. I did email the department 3 times after 1-07-11 requesting the allocation of my application to a CO and on 27-07-2011 my application was allocated to team 15 Brisbane (I’m onshore applicant). Medicals are booked, AFP clearance requested so it is a matter of time now for the big day. My details below. Hi and welcome to this thread, yes you should wait for a case officer before submitting medicals and police checks as they are only valid for 12 months. Tania

Guess we will have to wait and see, I have asked my agent to find out when I will be assigned to a CO.

Hi Su, All those that were put back on the list should now be assigned to a co this is what has happened in the past as they would normally stop processing others in that cat until they got up to date with the other that were put in that cat. Tania:biggrin:

Yeah I have seen a lot happen in the time I have lodged my visa application the massive amounts of changes, lets hope they have got it right this time for all our sake's, I have noticed that their isn't a massive back log like they use to have and they are slowly getting through those that are in the queue now. Lets hope next week is better!! for allocating co, I have had email of my agent saying that he will chase up and find out why I haven't go a co yet so I will let you know as soon as I hear anything. Tania
