  1. I'd be keen to know where the applications were granted. I live in Qld but my visa is being processed by Perth, not really sure how that works?
  2. Thanks Spurs, I do hope so! It's my son's 14th birthday today, would love to give him the best birthday news ever.
  3. Congratulations Carterinoz. Would you mind sharing which centre your visa was processed? I'm convinced Perth have all taken extended leave or something.
  4. Mine took 147 days so try not to worry. With the Christmas and New Year break and the new processing system things seem to be taking a little longer than we would all like.
  5. What visa are you currently on as I believe that may make a difference. With regard to my extra documents, they were specific to my case and were totally expected so there was no surprise.
  6. Oh sorry to hear that, have you appealed or just submitted a new nomination? I've been requested more documents yesterday, hoping I'm near the end now. Wishing you the best of luck!
  7. Hey MD, are you still waiting from May? I remember you being on the spread sheet that Isabella created.
  8. Hi JS It's so frustrating when you see people getting their grants so much quicker than yours. My nomination was granted about 3 weeks after extra documents were submitted so yours should be really soon. The timing is bad because of the Christmas break and also the new system of processing files that are awaiting extra documents. I was originally informed that once extra documents were submitted for my visa my case officer would grant straight away only for the system to change and I now have to wait for another case officer to be allocated to look at my file again. Are you waiting for your nomination to be approved before you lodge your visa application?
  9. Project Administrator. I was on a 457 for 3 years but have been in Australia for over 5 years now.
  10. Am I really the only one left from July? This week for me, positive thinking is the way to go!
  11. Sorry to hear that, hopefully you can get the decision overturned. Are you in Australia already?
  12. I also received my acknowledgement letter straight away. After about 3 weeks some of the required documents changed to received although this still did not mean I have a case officer.
  13. Hopefully it will be our turn next. Not sure what I will do with my time once I'm no longer checking this site and my immiaccount 100 times a day!!
  14. Congratulations to your friend. I supplied extra documents 8th December so maybe mine will be soon too, fingers crossed!
  15. My MA just mentioned this to me, in my case I think it will delay visa grant as my file is now sitting in a pool waiting for a new case officer to be allocated rather than on my original case officers desk! Not very impressed, grrrrr
  16. Excellent News, now if they could just get to mine today I'd be eternally grateful. Will give me an excuse to go to the pub tonight and celebrate!
  17. Congratulations, my nomination approval was just after yours so hoping mine will be soon.
  18. If you qualify for a skilled visa why not just apply for that?
  19. Although 28 days have passed it is possible that it has taken longer because of the Christmas holidays. My understanding is that the visa application is linked to the nomination so if the nomination is refused that the application can not progress. This is why many people choose not to lodge an application before their nomination is approved. Your MA really is the only one that can advise you as they know all the facts.
  20. Your MA should be able to advise you on this. Would you not need to re lodge your visa application as well as your first application is linked to the original nomination? You really should only do this on the advice of a professional.
