I wouldnt worry about LAFHA, dont think u can claim it now anyway (if you havent done already). It was a nice perk, I was earning 200k and it saved me about 500 a week, but went as soon as we got residency (which was expected). Salary will not be affected at all, it will be liable for the usual tax percentage which is around 30ish I think, mine is 46% at the minute...eeeek, need to fix that. As ginger said, just work of your base and if you manage to get anything else then it is indeed a bonus.

130kGBP PA in the uk, 230kAUD PA over here, rent was 625 per month in UK, its 2150 a month over here, lots of things are more but the wages are more, cant buy sunshine and lifestyle, so for me, and especially with the economic climate over in the UK, Australia hands down :-)

You could always try dent master or someone like it, they only charge 50-70 bucks a panel.
