We just received ours................think they may mean the humidity/condensation that forms on the top of the "sealed" container? All our things were damp but dried off within hours of adjusting to an outside temperature............just a thought?

Like Lady Raincorn............having just recently done this...........I would contact your Pet Shipper first and work around this.......we did.......Please try www.animaltravel.com.au we paid 2500 for 2 dogs and boarding if necessary is $30 per night so I'm sure your quote will be much cheaper! We left flights till the last minute and got a flight with BA on sale one way.............once you have a date to work towards everything else just falls in place..........it's daunting I know but you just need a starting point! PS on the flip side...........had a friend over in Northern Beaches, passed test and had ceremony within 3 months!!!

Hi Sorry to tell you this but I was in Sydney..............passed test May 2012.............got ceremony January 2013 Huge backlogs in Sydney Best thing to do is call them and say you will accept and travel anywhere within reason...........I did.........ended up at Parramatta in a office ceremony during lunch hour eg: no pomp and circumstance

thank you Thistle for your reply............Animal Travel were brilliant this end re: pick up etc...........Dogs have arrived at LHR.......just glad they are out of the air now.......had a 24hr rest in ARC.........as we speak they are now in the Euro Tunnel on their way to Spain via France.............Our pet transportation company in UK say they seem fit, well and happy.......they are cuddled up together in the same cage on their blankets we have slept with for the last 10 weeks I'll keep you posted when I meet them in Spain on the 12th July.............thanks again

Sorry late reply Lady RC............NO! not really.............Went to BC...........waited for 2 hours.............someone turned up and said it's not something they issue!!! Running round Sydney like a headless chicken! Went to Immigration AU and got a "movement" certificate......NOT good enough........Had to send Tax Returns and employment letters to Spain AND they're still not happy...........I just can't believe it! Have owned a home there for 10 years..........am a British Citizen..........but because I have a container coming from Australia they want to charge me 40% tax and import duties BECAUSE I can't get a De-Registration Certificate from the British Consulate!!! Seriously............God help you IF you were English and in trouble in Australia because the BC are very hard to get old of and very specific about what they can and can't do...........

Our Girls go with Animal Travel 3rd July............feeling nervous..........obviously BUT I have found this company to be amazing with help/info and lastly price............Narelle is a diamond My fur Babies are doing it tough.......SYD-HKG-LHR THEN onwards to Malaga with a road transportation company "Animal Express" due to the embargo of importing Pets into Malaga during the heat/summer months.........I will be nine days without them.........can't wait to see them on the other side

PLEASE............DOES ANYONE Have experience of this????Shipping a 20ft Container to SPAIN and the Spanish end want confirmation of when I arrived and when I am leaving Australia from The British Consulate...............otherwise they will NOT load my container on the ship in Sydney? I cannot get hold of anyone at the BC as it's a phone menu and I've tried ALL options which either refer to a website which is not applicable to me or cut you off? I have physically been down there and it's not manned? Any advice would be much appreciated..........I am a British and AU Citizen
