Guest j4info
We are running a IT firm in India with no formal base in Australia and we have a client in Australia. Now my client has asked me to send an employee onsite to Australia for the project. Could anyone tell me what are the eligibility criteria for an Overseas Business Sponsor to initiate 457 visa for its employees. Thanks. Les Mighalls
Hi Jack, You would be best served by starting your reading here and then research from that. Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457) The eligibility criteria are much the same as for an Australian based busines except for the training requirements. Depending on how long the project is going to last for, or your company's future intent, a 457 may not necessarily be the best visa to apply for. Briefly you need to be able to show that you can meet your obligations as a sponsor which may require producing audited financials such as P&L and Balance Sheets etc.
Guest j4info
Thank you for your reply. The contract is going to be 1 year. And our client has asked to send an on-site coordinator for the duration of the project. Is there any other visa which would suit our purpose. Thanks, Jack
