aussiechick2006
Hi everyone, I swear the more posts/sites that I read the more confused I'm getting! :err: My husband and I are applying for the 309 Spouse visa and I'm wondering just how many stat dec's I need? My husband and I have done ours and two friends in Oz have done the 888 Form and are sending them over. Do I need anything else from other friends/family? Many thanks in advance AC Sorry I posted this on the wrong board, so have re posted.
pts
I just sent the required two stat decs from Australian residents who know you and your partner and can verify that your relationship is genuine. You can send more than two but two was enough for me. I got one from my wife's sister and one from a good friend who had spent time living with us while she was is London. Easy,no need to stress

And my childhood friend who also came over and stayed with us for 6mths is doing the other. So once we have them hopefully the paper work can be sent off. Can't wait till it's all posted off! pts
Just to let you know I sent my application in on june 1st and got my visa granted middle of september,3 and a half months. My CO had initials DP. I think with spouse visas its straight forward as long as you have no major criminal or medical problems then you get the visa. Good Luck. JoandJon
We did a couple of extra ones as well in the hope husband would go straight to a 100 visa (which he did!). If you've been together for ages, try and include evidence to demonstrate you've lived together for 3 years or longer that way you might go straight to PR instead of via the temporary. We got our visa around 3.5 months too
aussiechick2006
Thanks for your replies. It's nice to see that I'm on the right track. Well so far anyway! Congratulations on your visa's. AC
