1. Just to let you know I sent my application in on june 1st and got my visa granted middle of september,3 and a half months. My CO had initials DP. I think with spouse visas its straight forward as long as you have no major criminal or medical problems then you get the visa. Good Luck.
 2. I just sent the required two stat decs from Australian residents who know you and your partner and can verify that your relationship is genuine. You can send more than two but two was enough for me. I got one from my wife's sister and one from a good friend who had spent time living with us while she was is London. Easy,no need to stress
 3. Hi, In my opinion you have got it.From what I have read/heard after you send in the visa application they check it and then reply asking you for what else they require. You have done that so now its just a matter of waiting. I think they diarise every application 5 months from when they receive them. Every CO is different,I was lucky to get my visa granted after 3 and half months. Again its my opinion that spouse visas only fail on something badly wrong medically or a a really bad criminal record. If I was you I would start planning for Australia.
 4. My case officer is DP. He seems to process spouse visas in 4 months. I think it helped that my spouse visa was very straight forward. 15 years in a de facto relationship,as long as I passed medical and character checks then there was no need to wait to grant visa. Good luck with your visa
 5. My visa was pretty straight forward. In a de facto relationship for 17 years,so as long as my medical and criminal records were fine I was confident. I say if all your application is in and they don't require any more info then after 3 months has passed its worth asking for an update. By the way my CO has initials DP
 6. Visa approved 15th of september. Three and a half months. Partner(Migrant) subclass 100. No 2 year temporary needed. I was going to wait until 4 months had passed before contacting CO but my missus said why wait. So glad I did as its an amazing feeling to finally have it confirmed. In Oz for chrissie.
 7. Hi, I am 3 months in applying for spouse PR visa. My mum had TB 10 years before I was born. When you take your medical they will do a chest xray. If that shows up all clear then you are fine as far as I can see. I passed my medical. Hope this eases your worries.
 8. Hi,I noticed the initials of your CO were the same as mine. So its good news for me that you got your visa in 4 months. I am 3 months in so hopefully only another month to go. I have provided everything they have asked for and no further contact in the last month.

Partner migration visa application posted 31/5/11,received 1/6/11. Email from CO 2/6/11 requesting I get my medical done and Australia police check,I think because in the last 10 years I have been to Australia 5 times including in 2003/4 a stay of 10 months. I imagine that this quick response to my application is a good sign. Also I need to answer question 82 on form 47sp:-

In which countries have you lived for 12 months(in total) or more during the last 10 years?

I did not list the 5 visits to Australia here,I listed them at q81. Do I have to list my Uk addresses here too? I've booked my medical for June15th and I have posted my Aussie police check off to my sister-in-law in Australia to send in for me.
