Wookiee
Hi all My wife and I will be moving from London to Melbourne mid January with our 2 daughters aged 4 years and the other 6 months. Can anyone recommend a decent stopover that will be suitable for children of this age? We would be looking at 1 to 2 weeks? Look forward to your responses Cheers Shane
rammygirl
Not done it with young kids but Dubai was good with teenagers, and there seemed to be lots for younger ones too. The heat is dryer than the Malaysian/Far East countries so as long as you drink plenty it doesn't seem as bad or tiring. And everywhere has aircon indoors. We did Dubai and Bangkok a week or so each on our way out as a holiday it was a great experience and helped with the Jet Lag.
Wookiee
Thanks for your reply. We were thinking of flying Emirates actually due to the allowance of 32kgs for cattle class passengers. We have stopped in Singapore before and really enjoyed it there.
Xtonite
I was going to suggest Singapore. We stopped there for a few days with our two girls (who were 10 and 8 at the time), great zoo and Sentosa Island was fun. I believe they have opened a Universal Studios (or something similar), can anyone confirm that? Geoff
