  1. My wife's subclass 100 spouse visa was approved today. It took 4 1/2 months from AHC London
  2. Thanks for your reply. We were thinking of flying Emirates actually due to the allowance of 32kgs for cattle class passengers. We have stopped in Singapore before and really enjoyed it there.
  3. Hi all My wife and I will be moving from London to Melbourne mid January with our 2 daughters aged 4 years and the other 6 months. Can anyone recommend a decent stopover that will be suitable for children of this age? We would be looking at 1 to 2 weeks? Look forward to your responses Cheers Shane

    Riots in UK

This is what a generation of being politically correct has done to a portion of today's youth! The British government are a laughing stock to these inbred twats... It's a shame I've really enjoyed living here for the last 12 years I just hope Australia hasn't gone down that road???
  5. Hi I can now join the group with my stats. Subclass 100 spouse visa received at Australia House in London on 12th July. We have VF as our Case officer who today requested I submit more evidence of our cohabitation between 2009 & 2010, I need to give evidence of my visa status in the UK (I'm the Aussie) and have quoted a processing time between 5-6 months. Also as my wife's pregnant and cannot have an X-ray they said we can provide this after the birth when we are in Australia although as she is due in 2 weeks we will probably just have it done here.
  6. Thanks for the info I didn't really want to be traveling much more than 1hr 15min door to door. I will see how much my wife likes it in mornington when we arrive. I wish they would extend the train line!
  7. Hi I'm wondering if any of you or your other half's commute into the CBD from mornington? Seems like a long journey but maybe it's worth it? Cheers Shane
  8. @ K re partner visa. My situation is very similar to yours, I'm Aussie been living in London 12 years and my wife is polish. We have been together 10 years have a 3 year old daughter and our second is due in 4 weeks. I used a migration agent so I just emailed her my questions and she always replied within 24hrs. I have submitted my application without the xray and Medicals and have included a note to say we will have them done after my wife gives birth. I personally wouldn't risk any X-rays if your pregnant especially if your in the first trimester. I included banks statements, bills, leases, council tax bills, letters, travel itineraries etc as evidence of our relationship. But I didn't submit any photos thinking why with all the evidence we have. Our agent came back to me and said it was necessary so at her request we emailed her 10 photos some of us as a couple and some including our daughter. As for finances Im self employed so I just had my accountant write a letter covering the last 2 years earnings. I imagine it would be more of a problem if your husband wasn't living with you! My only concern for me is the forms changed on the 1st July and our probably won't arrive at AHC London until Monday! Best of Luck Shane
  9. Hi I've just submitted the forms for the sub class 100 visa. I'm not so concerned about the increase in fee but the fact I submitted using out of date forms. My agent informs me that the DIAC allows a grace period. Potentially I could have to resubmit them all again which will be a major pain. Has anyone else had this problem? Also my agent tells me the processing time from London is 5-8 months. Anyone got there's earlier? Cheers Shane
