oidara
Hello, I'm trying to get to grips with the documents I need to submit to the ACS for a skills assessment, and I'm wondering what exactly is meant by a "certified copy", as in: * Certified copy of birth certificate or passport * Certified copy of academic qualification certificates * Certified copy of academic transcripts * Certified copies of detailed employment references I live in Slovenia at the moment. If I were to take these documents to a notary here and have the notary sign and stamp them, would that be sufficient and recognised? Or are there special places one needs to go in order to get these documents certified? Many thanks for any advice you can offer. Cheers, oidara
Guest sallan074
I live in Scotland and my husband had to get a solicitor to sign all his documents for a one off fee. Hope this helps. :-)
Guest
The same here, I copied everything and he signed everything although the solicitor asked just for a donation to guide dogs which was really nice.
oidara
Thanks. Sounds like a notary would do then.

Guest mandi1971
We used a civil servant and had them sent back so went straight to a solicitor, only cost £5 so well worth it to save hold ups Mandi x

marknhelen
Hi There, the quickest way is to go to your nearest police station and they can sign and certify any document. They did all mine in about 10mins , didnt cost me a thing. Regards marknhelen
