inception Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 Does the time spent in Australia on a student visa count towards citizenship? It's 4 years before one can apply for citizenship, right? So, if someone has spent 3 years as a student and then later gets permanent residency, can he/she use part of that to count towards citizenship?
