Tosh
Has anyone gone over or at least done the electronics equipment trade worker TRA? It doesn't come under VETASSES but TRA and was wondering what was involved as I can't find any information on it at all. Good luck to everyone applying, going or coming back. Life on easy street
I had my trade Electronic Equipment Tradesperson [4315-11] assessed by Trades Recognition Australia. My agent advised me to have detailed job references from leaving school up to and including my then current employers. Any gaps I had to have a statuatatry declaration. gaz n family
I had my trade Electronic Equipment Tradesperson [4315-11] assessed by Trades Recognition Australia. My agent advised me to have detailed job references from leaving school up to and including my then current employers. Any gaps I had to have a statuatatry declaration. We were the same. Nowt like a CV, it had to be, as you say, VERY detailed on your day to day tasks, including whattools and test equipment. Mine I was in the RN for 23 years, but worked in loads of different sections/units, so i treated each unit as a new job, with a new boss. I got my last three line managers to do me a reference, but again not only commenting on my ability, butnalso detail the expected tasks and tools used. It takes a very long time to get it ready, but it will be worth it. I hope. Hope our replies are helping, any more questions, ask away.
Tosh
Thanks for replies guys, and thanks for the link Gaz. I'm just a bit concerned that my agent is putting me on the wrong visa subclass for what I do and the extent of my knowledge. My background is in Photocopier repairs covering everything from little desktops to large High volume professional copiers including colour and networked, but, I then re-trained as a plumber (not enough experience to go on that) but now have a job working on disabled equipment, hoists, stairlifts, hospital equipment, specialist baths, toilets showers etc. Which kind of crosses between my plumbing skills and my electronics engineering background but is neither one or the other. As you know it's one hell of a minefield we're all treading on for those of us trying to get to Oz and need as much help as poss to get to our goal. Many Thanks again to both of you and good luck with whichever way you are headed.
savithru
Hi all, I have a doubt... I have more than 8 years of "Total Experience". This include 6 years ( recent) of Industrial experience which come under "Electronics Engineer" plus two years of Teaching experience ( Teaching same Electronics Subjects in an Engineering College). Now I am planning for skill assessment under "Electronics Engineer". Can some body here clarify me... how many years of my experience are considered for assigning me points. (5 years = 10 points........8 years experience = 15 points) Kindly clear my doubt. Thanks in advance savithru.
