Guest calswale Posted February 4, 2011 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Hi all We are moving to australia in october with two young children eldest being 2 we are moving to sydney want to go to manly area or near!! does anyone know any good pre schools in the area? ive had a little look but they all seem to be 3 year waiting list!!!! and what are the fees do australia have similar to uk goverment funding? and if so would we be entilted to it? im so confussed! It all depends on what visa you are on. If you are on a temporary visa then you will get nothing back through the child care rebate. If you are on a permanent visa then child care will set you back around the $400 pw mark and you will get some of that back depending on your income Child care estimator - australia.gov.au Getting a place can be difficult as there is huge pressure on places and the best ones have very long waiting lists.
