foy465
we are moving out to QLD early next year, poss around Feb/March time. Have been checking out rentals, looking at a minimum of 4 beds, and ideally with some land that could keep 2 horses. We have seen a couple of propertys in the Jimboomba area, that meet our requirements, and was just wondering if anyone lives there or has experience of Jimboomba. Any thoughts good or bad will be greatfully appreciated. TIA

TIA  Hi Tia There is a member on this site, calNgary - if you go to the top of this page, you will see community, click on this, go to members list, hit c and scroll through you will find her. She will definitely be the expert on Jimboomba, she has set up a website to to help us settle in when we get to Oz, the website is brilliant a huge help for newbies and will most defnitely give you all the info you need, you will see through various threads Cal and Gary have been a godsend to all heading there and needing help!! I am sure she will see this thread (as off line now) but definitely worth writing to her, you can always send a private email when you open her members page, right click on her name and it will show you, how to post a private email, you probably already know this but thought it would help. mr luvpants
Just to say that I agree and that Cal is the authority on Jimboomba. Just be grateful that she will post her messages on here and you wont have to hear her voice. She has one of those "northern" accents!:biglaugh:

calNgary
LOL, Thanks Guys and John, you know you just lurrrvv my accent, lol. Jimboomba , well what can i say , this area has doubled in size since we arrived 4 years ago. There isnt much you cant get in Jimboomba now adays, new shops, Takeaways, supermarkets, chemists, doctors and a big new shopping centre on its way. You also have a choice of public or private schooling from YR1 to YR12 with all the schools getting decent feedback from the locals. We are out at Flagstone and again its double in sized since we arrived, The planned town centre is going ahead, the primary and high schools are thriving, construction is under way on the 3rd Kindy (nursery) and the massive new sports hall thats attached the primary school. Park and ride into the city is only 10/15 mins drive away, The beaches of the coast approx an hour, really hard to fault this area at all, its just gone from strength to strength. Hope this helps Cal x
