  1. we are moving out to QLD early next year, poss around Feb/March time. Have been checking out rentals, looking at a minimum of 4 beds, and ideally with some land that could keep 2 horses. We have seen a couple of propertys in the Jimboomba area, that meet our requirements, and was just wondering if anyone lives there or has experience of Jimboomba. Any thoughts good or bad will be greatfully appreciated. TIA
  2. :wubclub: Hi All, Its been a while since being last on here, we have now moved several times on the coast and have decided we want to settle in one of our first and original locations we visited nearly 3 yrs ago Jimboomba. Our children at present attend state schools my query is regarding what is the state school like (my daughter will be in yr 8 nxt yr and my son will be in yr 4) and in comparison what are the private schools like? If anyone can offer any info that would be awesome. Thanx Happydays:biggrin:

  8. Hi, does anyone know anything about this school. Have looked on their web site but can`t find any other info. We`re mainly interested as we have a golf mad son and this private school has very reasonable fees and plays lots of golf !! Cheers, Alison.
  9. Hi everyone... just got to say a HUGE thank you to Cal n Gary of Jimboomba Relocations ... We are staying with them when we arrive in 3 weeks time OMG... it really is three weeks xxx and Cal has been an absolute star. :notworthy: She's listened to me panicing, moaning and lent me a shoulder to cry on. Before we even step on Aussie soil, we have somewhere to stay, a hire car plus car seat (cal brought this for me in the sales), a moblie phone and the kids sorted in school !! Now thats not bad is it .... if Cal cant help, she knows a man or woman who can... and i just felt that I needed to sing her praises and if anyone is going to South Brisbane area or Gold Coast to live or just for a reccie, ....then we recomend them 150% ....xx :jiggy:
  10. as a go it alone type person ,i found myself in oz after 2 weeks looking for a place to live with 7 suitcases two kids an wife in an old ford falcon i bought travelling around trying to find a suitable place to set up home ,i under estimated the situation big time the sheer amount of red tape alone to get a rental not having a fixed adress let alone issues with queensland goverment ie driving licences an tax files ect. but after spending a week at jimboomba relocations i got every thing back on track and in order therefore i would strongly recomend a chat with calngary or a stay when you arrive to get your bearings especially if like us you didnt know anyone in oz. since our stay we have jobs , kids in school ,rental house all paperwork sorted . thanks calngary :jiggy:
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAL IN JIMBOOMBA!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!! ANOTHER YEAR OLDER!!!!!!!!!
