Working Holiday Visa

Alright all , I'm new here and have done a bit of searching but not able to find what I'm looking for , I'm 22 and recently a time served panel beater ( 1 year in August ) and think my only way over to oz is working holiday visa , I was on the visa bureau site and was in the middle of applying before I stopped myself lol because I was thinking if I applied how long would I have before I actually had to go to Australia , would it be days weeks months because I don't think I could just up and go tomorrow lol .

You have 12 months from the day the visa is granted to go to Oz

Once your there the time on the visa starts - not before

 

The WHV takes, usually, about 24 hours to be confirmed

 

Also, if you do 3 months work in a regional area, you can have an extra 12 months on the WHV, and stay in Oz for 2 years

One other thing, if you apply and get granted a WHV, you can't have another

 

so if you dont travel to Oz within 12 months of it being granted, thats it - you can never have another one

It only gets activated once you travel in to Australia, if you never use it never becomes validated.

 

If it never becomes validated and goes beyond the use by date you can apply again.
