Guest The Pom Queen
You could attend the Dawn Service Victorian Branch of the RSL Last year my son was marching in the Dawn Service at Hastings and then at the lunch time march in Dandenong. olly
Chris, if you can make it into the Shrine of Remembrance on St. Kilda Road and get a possy there somewhere it's great, you can go into the actual service around the shrine (the flame) but you have to get there at around 5am because it gets very very crowded. Then you find another spot for the marching parades of the current/ex servicemen-women etc, but before that you can saunter down to the army barracks HQ and they serve up a breakfast to anyone who wants it, think it's free (?). If you can find somewhere along one of the bridges in St. Kilda Road you get a good view. Hope this helps, but as others have mentioned there is local ones, but the city one really soaks up the atmosphere.
