I thought that as we arrive we could arrange a meet up for new arrivals to help us all settle in. Anyone interested?? If you would like to participate plesae leave your details as follows and I will keep updating the list. If you dont have a specific date just estimate, also can put reccie dates on too. Guest sharon Posted September 12, 2007 Share Posted September 12, 2007 Hi, Hopefully we will be arriving 1/12/07, just waiting for the house sale to go through, surveyor has just been out he said should be no probs and the buyer is a first time buyer so hopefully should only take 6-8 weeks. We will be staying at southport for the first couple of weeks in short term accommodation, we are looking at possibly settling in pacific pines/ coomera/coomera waters, any info on these areas would be welcome. There is myself (Adele) my husband Mike and our 2 children, Nathan who will be 7 and Mia who will be 2 (not looking forward to taking her on the flight. Looks like most of us are in that same 'petrified but dead excited' world (we've even got the comfort of some family in Alex Hills but we're still petrified!!) so what a way to ease settling in. We are me Lawrence (Lol for short - knocking on a bit now at 38), 'er indoors (Sarah, 35), Kiera (3 with attitude, attitude & more attitude but a real cracker still in there somewhere) and Mat (1 and currently taking attitude lessons from the one above!). Looking at moving over towards middle of next year and we've a reccie organised for March. We like Alex Hills area (incl Wellie Point, Cleveland and Viccie Point) but also like Sunshine coast and have been looking at the coomera area to - so much choice eh!! We are are both pleased to say now have our visas, can not wait to be out there. we are visiting for the most of December 07 into early Jan to get more of a feel for the place and make our future plans, so if any one fancies meeting up. We are: Me (Angela) - looking for a job in marketing Mark - Telecoms engineer - lets just say at 35 he's my toyboy Connor - 17 and not convinced he wants to move Robbie - 16 and looking forward to being a beach bum Aidan - 10 - can't wait We are hiring a motorhome to travel around (a bit) of Queensland so would love to meet up with people already settled there.
