How long for 176 visa...If they stick to timescales?

Hi,

 

If all goes to plan & they process your SS application in the time scale they say :skeptical: How long until you actually get your visa? Im just looking for rough ideas please

 

 

 

For example:

 

We applied for SS to WA on 23/04/09 they said to expect at least a 3month wait.....So lets say it takes 4months (hopefully worst case scenario).....

How long there after until we would get our visa? :unsure:

Would say end of September beginning of October, thats if you have had your meds and police checks. If not bit longer while you get them done then cleared.

Thanks Rachael, we havent got our meds or p/c done, we are waiting to hear back from WA first (just in case) & then get them done....

 

But even still would our time scale of early 2010 be realistic? We are thinking March 2010

As ASPC states, once a SS nomination is approved by DIAC then a CO will be allocated within 10 working days..

 

So if SS comes through in August then september would be possible if you'd frontloaded your meds and pccs.

 

But you never can tell what other obstacles will be placed in our way, best to wait and see what the budget throws up next week..

Hi just wanted to say that we applied for state sponsor to victoria on 15/4/09 after being took off the list on the 175 skilled and have been approved already.

Just waiting for a case officer now
