furnished rent in Brisbane wanted

I have started a new thread on another site but thought I'd post in here too so forgive me for repeating myself. We (hubby and I) will be arriving in Brisbane early June and need a short term furnished rental property in or near Brisbane to use as a base till we can have a look round and find where we want to settle. If anyone has a private rental or point us in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I have had a couple of links from the other post which I have looked at and emailed the estate agents reccommended.

have you tried www.gumtree.com.au - private so not tied into contract and breaking lease, when you find somewhere look at www.translink.com.au type in the address where you will be living and working (name of hospital)

 

look at googlemaps too, as does a car route from a to b

 

You could email the hospital/hr and ask them if they could put a poster up in staff canteen area (there are lots of these at the PA) and put your email etc -
