If you have a skills assessment from the Australian Computing Society (ACS)

showing a computer specialisation (as listed on the MODL) you are entitled

to priority processing under the CSL. If you have provided a skills

assessment showing you meet this criterion please advise the department at

http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/forms/gsm/post.htm .This will ensure that

your application is allocated once your lodgement date has been reached

I was wondering if everyone who has applied for a visa (175 MODL, CSL) and passed ACS assessment are aware of this above statement. When we found out we panicked and contacted our agent who have since informed DIAC that our ACS will expire in Sept 09.

Could anyone tell us if that means we get a case officer by this date or is the document just acknowledged prior to getting a case officer so that we do not have to redo the assessment. :arghh:

Thanks Sam

Hi,

same thing happened to me. I have informed DIMA about me having CSL thingi. Haven't received any response from the department yet. I dont think it matters if your ACS expires. I think validity matters before you lodge the application. Once you lodge the application, the validity doesnt matter.

Lets see what other people say abt it.

Our Agent said not to worry he will email DIAC re our MODL/CSL in due course and he is not concerned. I think you are right about the ACS being valid for a year but that is only so you get your visa application in in that year, otherwise you would have to get a new one done if you hadn't applied for the visa.

This has confused me. Where has this message appeared? What concerns me is that two people on 175 on the CSL that applied only in Nov 08, have now got Case Officers! I am in *exactly* the same position, only I applied earlier. Same profession, same list, same everything. They too came across the message above, but I haven't. Should we contact DIAC regardless?
