no1spark Posted May 9, 2011 Share Posted May 9, 2011 warrenkt; i fully agree with you, the electrical fitters license has become usless in most states it does now restrict a person to basic electrical work not allowing a person to work on any 230v or 415v equipment so the way to go is to get the electrical mechanics certificate from ARTC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
coleionie Posted July 29, 2015 Share Posted July 29, 2015 I am in exactly the same situation, I have been working in the UK as an electrician on fuel stations and refineries for just under 10 years, apprenticeship trained, degree qualified, also with compex cert. moved over on a spouse visa to be with my wife and practically have to do an apprenticeship again. be prepared to be the tea-boy again is all I can say. good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
