Mine in Victoria were always stored on a database/website called Central Animal Records. https://car.com.au/ I haven't interrogated it too much and you might be able to register your pet yourself. But normally the vet handles it for you. I would suggest when you are settled and have chosen a local vet to ask them to register your existing microchipped pet for you. Give them all your current paperwork, vaccination history etc for your pet.
