Visa fraud clogs courts

According to a Sun Herald newspaper article, a migration agency for Indian nationals has caused "carnage" in the Australian immigration system with up to 1,300 fake visa claims now choking the court system for almost 10 years in one of the longest running fraud cases of its kind.  One of the scam companies, S & S Migration which was based in Melbourne has been struck off by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission but not before the agency handed out the visas to allow mostly Indian nationals to live and work in Australia.  It can now be revealed that those given fake visas have been fighting to remain in Australia through every available jurisdiction including the Federal Court, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Migration Review Tribunal of Australia in what one tribunal described as creating "orchestrated widespread mayhem in the work of the Minister's department and in the Tribunal because of S & S Migration's fraudulent activities".

One hearing described the dishonesty as breathtaking with some cases taking years to resolve.

Most of the complainants taking legal action have been found to have knowingly accepted the fraudulent visa without satisfying even the language or skills requirements.

If it's the case that they were willing participants in this scam, throw their cases out the window and deport them back to wherever they came frrom. They should also be banned from every entering the country again. I really don't see how you could allow these scam artists to stay when so many have gone through the process legally and followed the rules to a tee. They deserve no sympathy or justice. It would also be beneficial to share their identites with other countries (I'm thinking of my own country specifically) so that they can be alterted and on guards for these criminals.

Throw the book at them and toss them out on their disingenuous, lying a**es.

Well, even ex-premier of NSW joined in the visa fraud boat so who knows how many scams got through.

Daryl Maguire wasn't a premier of NSW but he was in a "close personal relationship" with the current premier of NSW.

Maguire should have been jailed.

They can still jail him, and her too if proven guilty of compliance, but will they? Sadly, I doubt it.
