sukhjit
Hi Everyone, My team with previous employer who was sponsoring me for 457 visa got sold to another company. I moved with the team to a new company and I had to file for a renomination of my 457 sponsor. My agent has informed me that he can still file 186 visa application because the role, responsibilities and type of job is consistent however, he is not confident because my work location had to change. I have moved within the Sydney to another office. The clause does not mention anything about the location and I wanted to get some guidance on if you think this can cause an issue? I would assume that this is a fairly common activity when divestures happen? Would appreciate if you can provide some guidance.
Raul Senise
There is very specific Policy on this specific issue. If you are using a Registered Migration Agent, you should get them to explain the Policy and how it applies to your specific situation.
LouDYorkie
We had a situation that (on the face of it) sounds similar and I was very glad we had a registered migration agent to navigate the process on our behalf.
