Kenneth Wragg
Hell: can anyone tell us if we can bring us- opened bottles of spirit into Australia in a shipping container, this is gifts from friends and from our own private bar. There’s probabably 12 litres in total, if we have to pay duty what will this be, would like to play the game and declare it. Thankyou. starlight7
Wouldn’t guarantee you would find them there when you got to Australia. Some rough old types down at the docks ..
rammygirl
Yes but there is a limit after which duty is payable. You can check on the customs website.
LouDYorkie
We left most of ours in the U.K. but wanted to bring what was left of a 30 year old single malt. We declared it but release of our container got held up over the princely sum of about $5 duty.[emoji23]
Kenneth Wragg
Thank you for that, we have 2 bottles of Dimple Haig and I was going to give them away until I checked the price up to £100 each so going to bring them and declare them, to good to leave here. Thanks again. KGW.
