Shipment took about 5 weeks and we had an option to delay for a week at the Perth end if we wanted to but we didn’t. I would hazard a guess that it would cheaper to store here than Perth. Plus once it’s here that’s a job over with and you will have stuff ready when you want it. We stored here and Chess partner with Britannia at this end so you could always check prices directly with them. Good luck, any questions just ask. We moved with Grace so far so good will let you know when our there shipment arrives! Nathan at Grace in Perth has been brilliant. Always replies back to you! LKC Posted October 22, 2018 Share Posted October 22, 2018 We used Chess to move from Sydney to Scotland. They were great, I'd definitely recommend them. From memory it cost about $8000 for a full 20ft container, including a few extra charges this end due to living up a narrow lane (our stuff had to be offloaded from the container and brought to us in smaller vans). paulswin Posted October 23, 2018 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We paid around $9500 for a 40 foot container we were taking our car but it decided to blow up on us right before our things were to be loaded up! I found Grace were cheaper than Chess I had a few quotes in and just asked who would come down a bit I packed all out bit and bobs (and there were alot) and grace did all the furniture and tools etc Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ours was about $8k and that included making a crate and shipping a motorbike in the container. Get a quote for insurance through Letton Percival (often mentioned on here) they were great.
