reevo39
Hey guys, I've got an interview with Rinnai a major hot water company and they've requested I have a medical pre employment, is this normal? What exactly is involved, has anyone had any similar experiences? Thanks John
VERYSTORMY
Many employers in Australia do it as routine, so yes, fairly normal. It can vary a lot from a very quick thing of blood pressure, drug test, and a questionnaire to a fairly intense 2 hour thing where you have to do a load of tests and even prove you can do a certain amount of physical excercise
Eera
As above. I've had fairly tokenistic medicals, I've had ones where I had to show I could pickup weights and do sit-ups, I've had full on ones that involve chest x-rays and hearing tests. They probably just want to establish that you can are fit for the job and aren't likely to get injured and claim compensation.
