Amber2106
New here and already my second question! My eldest is 17, will be 18 by the time we move over, we are planning to move after he finishes A-levels but will turn 19 in the September. Will he be classed as a child or dependant adult in my application?
CeltInCaulfield
If you're applying whilst he is studying, and he is financially dependent on you, it would seem extremely unlikely anyone would claim he was independent.
ali
I think they also have to be dependent at time of visa grant
Amber2106
I’m giving us approx 16 months for the visa to be granted, just worried that if it’s longer than that he’ll be too old x
Jenki75
We will be in the same boat as you when we apply. We have a 20yr old in full time university (degree completion 2021) and a 17 year old currently in grade 11. I think as long as they are enrolled in full- time studies and you can prove they are dependent you will be OK.
Guest
Both of you should talk to a reputable agent to ensure you are up to speed and aware of any pitfalls etc. Don’t leave it to hoping it’ll be ok.
