Parley
The first Qantas flight non stop from Australia to London has taken off this evening. 18 hours. not too shabby. Anyone planning to use it ?

Anyone planning to use it ? I would have but it was sold out when I was booking. It’d take about 3 hours off the journey to Canberra but at least Qantas are now (from tomorrow) starting to fly through Singapore again which is better than Dubai. Sandgroper
Was on the radio earlier loads of plane spotters descending on Perth International by the sound of it.
Stung
It will be a very borderline flight after the break-in period. It will be a reduced pax flight due fuel requirements, there will be a built in number of diverts for fuel to make it profitable. But that does not help if you can not be delayed for that, it is quiet a detour for fuel and a crew change is also required. This maiden flight had a spare aircraft in Perth and a crew already on standby in I think France. So keep that in mind folks.
