KangaKit
Does anyone know whether you now need to have a job offer in order to register with aphra? I know you didn't used to but can't find any information regarding it on their website. I wanted to get my registration sorted as going out there next year for holiday. zs123456
Hi I'd like to know this too, as far iv read on the 'step by step process for overseas trained practitioners' it does state that limited AHPRA registration application can be obtained once been offered a position in Australia as details are required for supervised practise but this is a OTcouncil document. I'm still awaiting full Visa grant 189 so haven't fully got my head around AHPRA yet
PsychNurse
No I don't think so. As of 1/6/17, I am fully registered with AHPRA and did not have a job offer from any company/hospital in Australia throughout the application process. I'm still yet to start applying for jobs in Australia.
Richard Gregan
No, you need to verify around three months employment in the last 5 years though. Regards, Richard
ali
No, you don't need a job offer, but do bare in mind that you have to present within 3 months at an AHPRA office to complete the registration. Registration is renewable annually in May.
Richard Gregan
AHPRA do require employment evidence as explained above, so if an applicant hasn't worked at all since registration then they have a problem - not a likely scenario but worth pointing out.
