He needs to do an English test and a AASW skills assessment before applying for the 189 visa. If he turns 40 before he is invited to apply will his points change? The current wait for AASW is significant, i applied in December and did not receive the assessment until June. It is my understanding that you cannot apply until you have a positive skills assessment. Points are calculated at the time he receives his invitation.
