Here's my timeline:

 

Direct entry

Nomination & Visa: 9 Feb

Request for more info: 13 Sep

Document submitted: 11 Oct

Nomination grant: 31 Oct

Visa grant: 16 Nov

Were in SA so I think our visa goes through VIC PESE???

 

Anyone else going though VIC or have been through VIC. Just wanting to know timelines through VIC as most people on the speadsheet are NSW.

Thanks for the responses and for adding occupation columns! Thinking it's a combination of factors since others w/same occupation got processed faster.

 

I've made some calculations specifically for 2016 DE applications wherein nomination + visa were lodged at around the same time. Not sure if this has much value, but from my analysis, thought it wouldn't hurt to share.

 

If DE has any impact on current timelines, then DE average processing times for Jan-Mar 2016 = 232-237 days, with most being in the 238-240 range. If we include pending APR DE cases, it's at 232-236 BUT, these are ongoing so there's a strong margin of error.

 

I haven't hit those numbers yet myself so have decided to chill, wait and see..earlier is best of course!

There is one thing I'd like to add: after 6 months wait, I do plan to call the immigration department regularly. Independently of my agent opinion on the matter.

I do not think it can hurt and I personally feel that if they put 6 months as an average to process applications, there is no reason why we could not call them to ask what is going on :-)

@syd2016 i just went through the spreadsheet.. so much hardwork you guys have put in .. hats off to you

i just wanted to know has anyone got their DE 186 as restaurant mgr offshore application..?? im too nervous as i cnt see any on your list??

Visa status changed from Received to Finalised. No documents requested, no news that a Case Officer had been allotted. It just changed from Received to Finalised.
