Any April fellas still pending with NO idea if their case has been allocated?? Haven't heard anything at all and ours was from early APR.

Wish we weren't just waiting indefinitely - checking each day - 6, 7 months...Maybe I should ring to follow up? Been told that I shouldn't.

Whoever prepared 186 ENS TIMELINE he/she had great job. In my opinion just one column is missing which is very important...That's occupation-job title....

What do you think guys??

I agree. I think the occupation really matters. Like occupations which are in demand in Australia and which appear on SOL probably get higher priority once they hit the 6 month mark through ENS. Though it is a wild guess, I think we should include occupation in the sheet to check if there is a pattern. There has to be some sort of logic to all this, rather than just a mad wait period!

You're right mate. In some cases applicants got their PR in 6 months some of them more than a year.. So If we know applicants' occupations we'd have an idea..

Hi All - good news today with my PR finally granted today. My timelines:

08MAR16 - nomination and visa submitted

14OCT16 - nomination approved

14OCT16 - 1 additional document requested

15NOV16 - 186 visa approved

457 to 186 PR via MA

LR, 1 person

revenue/pricing manager

VIC PESE

457 expired before 186 granted

so moved to bridging visa A for 3 months

original waiting time advised was 5-8 months (153-245 days)

so 186 granted just outside of this guidance timeframe (it took 252 days)

spreadsheet updated

Thanks for info provided so generously and selflessly by all contributors. I only made a few forum comments but benefitted hugely from watching exchanges. Fingers crossed for all those still awaiting news, especially those who have been waiting longer term.

Brgds.

Hi Izzielizzie,

Hubby and me applied direct entry as swimming coach in 29/04/2016

Nomination received in 28/10/2016

We haven't heard about visa approval yet.

Hi everyone,

Nice to meet you! I have been following this thread for several months now. This is super helpful, thanks all.

I see a lot of questions about what influence a faster approval. I do not think we will find an answer to be honest.

My partner did a full analysis of the spreadsheet and came to the conclusion that this is random. He is Australian and is pretty frustrated by the process as well by the way.

He could not see any major differences between the options currently visible in the table: Transition vs Direct Entry, HR vs LR.

The number of people on the case seem to influence a bit by 1 or 2 weeks which makes sense as there are more documents to review.

The average time seems to be 7 months 1/2 starting from the nomination. Then is varies +/- 10 days.

It does look like a queue, currently opening April/May cases.

Some cases are much longer or much quicker than others, and sometimes, it really does not look like there is any reasons for the longer timelines, which is odd.

My details are already in the spreadsheet but basically:

Nomination and visa submitted with MA: June 20 2016

Status: received

Country: LR

Direct Entry

1 person

Marketing specialist

I have been living and working in Australia since July 2012

First with a Working Holiday Visa

Then with a 457 visa (started January 2013)

My 457 visa got approved the first time and then transferred twice due to job changes.

The processes were always quite quick (1 or 2 weeks).

My employer applied for 186 visa Direct Entry because my 457 visa is expiring in January - I am very grateful that they did.

Hi All.. I think its a great suggestion and an important one. I have added a column named "Occupation" in the spread sheet. Also, it will be great to know what docs are being asked by the CO? Might help other to prepare in advance. Here is the link to the spreadsheet again.

Congrats Yingsun. Your details are added in the spreadsheet. @lzzielizzie - whats your occupation.

Hi @Yingsun, CONGRATS on your new life as PR! EXTRA happy to see a Direct Entry application getting granted.

Gives me a bit of hope...hope that ours gets processed soonest. Lodged April and still nary a word. I was starting to think DE applications were low priority given all the (exclusively) TRN grants recently.

By the way, I'll add your details to the spreadsheet, thanks!
