  1. Thank you everyone for your wishes. @DE COOK Fingers crossed for you. Good luck mate! Hopefully soon. Will wait to hear from you.
  2. Hi everyone and @Izzielizzie @badaich87 @syd2016 @APR15 @Khushi02aug @Elliotkan Finally it's my turn to post something positive. I got both my nomination and visa approval today. Applied both nomination and visa on 14th April 2016 through agent Occupation is Market Research Analyst - (This is now a removed occupation as per new rules. Luckily i had applied last year) Nomination got approved first, after which i was asked for employer referral letter (which we submit during skill assessment). I submitted that immediately and got visa approval within another hour or so. Few suggestions to people waiting - My agent did NOT submit form 80. So pretty much what they request depends on your case. I did pester my agent to submit it after reading threads online. However ensure you submit what they need, don't panic on reading other peoples' cases like I did please. I know the wait is very very stressful, however make sure you do not let it get onto you like it did to me. Staying calm is hard, but try. If you have an agent try following up through the agent because a couple of times the immix people who received my calls have given me different answers to the same questions and also asked me to contact via agent, not directly. Thank you very much! This forum has been my only support after my family back in my home country. I will pray for all of you waiting. Cheers!
  3. Congratulations mate!! Thanks for sharing, this gives me so much hope. Have applied both visa and nomination just a day before you on 14th April 2016, waiting since. Good luck to you!
  4. @syd2016 I lodged last year in April 2016 as a Market Research Analyst. My MA has informed me that the applications lodged prior to the changes will not be affected. However, I do feel that such removed occupations are taking hell lot of a time for approval. For example, I am waiting since so long. Also, the fact that when I last called immigration they said the application won't be allocated anytime soon. Is your occupation removed too? Is anyone in the same situation like me? Thanks!
  5. Khushi02aug Oh! I wasn't aware of this. Its an open forum and you can voice your opinion. All we can do is share information or give suggestions based on experience. You were only trying to help others, don't feel bad or hurt. Good luck mate!
  6. Hi to all those waiting since over a year. I called the department today and the guy who received told me clearly that my case has not been allocated until now and will not be allocated anytime soon. He asked me whats the urgency. And obviously my reply was that its been one year and i am tired of waiting. He also mentioned that since i have an agent, calling the department for status updates is not going to help me in anyway and the best was to contact the department is via the agent. I have a feeling that because my occupation is removed from the list, they are probably waiting for the new financial year to allocate my case My suggestion to you guys is that if you have an agent, try to contact the department only through them.
  7. FINALLY!!! CONGRATULATIONS! Its time to celebrate. Where is the party tonight? Yeah yeah pray for us please. Been over a year, bored waiting.
  8. Can you share the link to this article please? Is it published by the department? Thank you!
  9. @Dale_g I can totally understand your frustration. There are other people on this forum waiting since Feb-April 2016 as well. We have been calling the department and getting the same response. Each time they say it should be allocated in another month but nothing ever happens. The only option they have left for us is to wait. However I wonder, how long do we wait - indefinitely?
  10. Guys, is the automated email reply the same- Processing April to August files OR has the reply changed and moved to processing May? Thank you!
  11. Congratulations to all those who got grants. I guess the forum was offline for quite a few days. Any updates March/April 2016 DE applicants please? Any information will be helpful. Thank you!
  12. @October 16 -- can you please provide me more information on : 'Also depending on your occupation your application can be processed before or after a certain DE application of the same month' Like can you re-direct me to the link which talks about this please or any extra information you have? Many Thanks!
  13. @Izzielizzie, @badaich87, @April16 ----> So I don't know whether to feel sad or satisfied with the new updated timelines. Because some of us have already hit the 11 month mark and still waiting, which would mean we may be in the 10%. Best is to avoid negative thoughts, however, each day this process only seems to get more complicated. @jess6 - good decision. I agree with your analysis and think if I fall in the 10% may be i am queued for next year Good luck to you! Hoping for the best for all of us waiting since so long. Take care.
  14. @Izzielizzie Yes we have hit 11 months and soon it will be 12. As much as we try to be positive, this process seems to not respond. I have not received any update from my MA and have not bothered to reach out to them either because i already know the replies i will receive, both from the MA or the department. They keep saying that they are understaffed, however, that is no reason to keep people hanging for one year without any notification. And if they really are understaffed then applications should be processed on first come first serve basis and if some case is complicated they should just notify saying this will take time to process so hold on. Receiving some outcome is better than receiving none. So basically the processing timeline says 6 months for 186 visas and we have already almost waited for double the time without a single notification. How much more ridiculous can it get? I know our cases are strong with all documents uploaded and such like. However, in case they thought our cases were complicated and left them for later, how complicated can a case even get that they can't even just send one update in 12 months?? My frustration and depression have reached its maximum limit now.
  15. @kirsty160990 Thank you for your quick reply. Guess we April applicants should just wait until they update this automated email to processing April-August. Feeling so sad.
  16. Guys can someone please tell what the automated email of immix says now? Are the still processing March 2016 files? So drained of waiting since April last year.
  17. Thank you for the update Lizzie. I think the best decision is to simply wait. We all have tried calling the department and our MAs and each of us gets almost the same reply, wherein they are still processing march applications. You take care. Best of luck! Will keep you and others posted in case i hear anything.
  18. @Izzielizzie and @badaich89 : My MA reverted after contacting the department with a follow-up because I pushed for it. Here is her response. No of much help, but just in case if it makes you feel any better: " We have been advised the following: We are currently allocating ENS/RSMS cases lodged between March and August 2016, however not all cases in this date range have been allocated. You may be contacted when your case is allocated or if further information is required. Please note that we will not respond to status enquiries. In light of the above as previously advised we would need to wait till we hear back from the Department. We would strongly recommend you not contacting the Department in any way as this may not be look favourably by the Department. Unfortunately the Department are severely under-resourced as such the long processing times. No point in stressing."
  19. @jess6 : I completely agree with you. I am in the same boat as you guys, waiting since April, DE. I think it's something to do with the occupation. Anyone in the IT industry or with ICT occupations gets approval faster compared to marketing related occupations. To top it we are not even transition. Only if some of us knew this is the case, we would have applied via transition or in my case i could have applied to an IT related occupation coz i am a research analyst in the IT industry. It's all luck. Also there are some more hidden factors which we aren't aware of, however, DE vs Transition and Occupation are definitely somewhere on the list of factors at the top. Just waiting for our luck to shine somehow. At Least some credit needs to be given to people who have applied way before and are waiting without hearing a word from the department since forever!
  20. @April16, @Gary1985 and @anyone who is waiting since March/April - WHAT IS WRONG WITh APRIL APPLICATIONS? Have they just lost all our data on the online system or has it all crashed!! I have lost every last bit of patience with this ridiculous illogical process. I contacted my MA again (who refuses to call the department) and today she finally said that the Department don't look favourably on following up on any application. However as an exception she will send a follow-up and see what's going on. Last week when i called the department, the guy who received informed that the application has not even been allocated yet. He asked to wait until mid march and advised that if nothing happens till then, email the department requesting to process the application.
  21. @Silverteen: Hi, if you want to go via the employer nominated route there is only one option to apply before completing two years which is the Direct Entry Stream. The other option as pointed out in the above post is to wait two years and go via transition stream. There is yet another option to apply for PR individually which i would recommend - find out if your occupation is on the SOL (not CSOL) and apply by yourself for PR without employer nomination - 189/190 visa. I am an applicant of direct entry via employer nomination and have been waiting since over 10 months with no response from the department. There is another thread which talks about 186 visa processing timelines here and you will see it depends on a lot of factors and getting approval within the 6 month timeframe is very rare. If you apply individually you would spend little more money as compared to ENS route, however you are sure to get approval fast if the government requires your skill as per SOL - https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/SOL Just my two cents. here is the thread which talks about 186 timeline- as you can see people are waiting since over a year as well- http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158703&page=3298 I do not want anyone else to go through the torture that waiting for PR is. Hence would suggest please consult as many people as you can before applying. I only wish i had applied individually rather than through employer coz the wait is never ending.
  22. @shriniwas211 - Thanks for sharing the info. Do you know if the application was Transition or Direct Entry please?
