AaronJSCarpenter
Hi Guys, Our nomination and visa application was submitted in October 2015. I notice that in the Google Spreadsheet that there appear to be fewer 186 visa applications in September and October. While the spreadsheet probably isn't representative of all those queuing up for a 186 visa I am hoping it indicates there may be fewer applications during September and October - therefore, does this mean that application processing may start to pick up speed? What's your opinion? Felix Hi Felix, I just updated the Spreadsheet, I submitted my application 7th September 2015 and got approved this afternoon!! They are definitely working through August and September quickly!! July was a massive month and took them seven weeks to get through. 2015DEC187
Our agent told us that they speed up after Easter to clear any backlog before the new financial year. I really hope this is true.

Wish y luck for ur future Cheers @Jazzcrave I believe it was VIC as the processing centre (it says on the the visa grant along with the worker). We were sponsored by my partners employer. He is a midwife. I have updated the timeline in September docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc look for Aaron down the list. I had been checking fastidiously today because I finally found the new timeline google sheet. Then realised people in my block were being approved. i'd assumed it would be next week but as I left work i got the email. Anxiety has lifted

AaronJSCarpenter
Thank You... Now what am I going to do when I'm supposed to be working? I normally check immi site every hour haha. Anxiety has gone. Oh and for anyone's benefit. I actually have a criminal record from the UK from a few years ago. (Very long boring story about police stopping me randomly and arresting me for having a knife in my glove box). I did get an absolute discharge mind. I've declared this all the way through from 457 application and everytime I leave and return to Australia I get pulled into a room to check my details. This didn't affect my application at all. i was not asked for further documents or clarification. Believe you me I was worried about this. AaronJSCarpenter
does anyone know what I need to do now I have transitioned from 457 to PR? I assume I will need to get a driving licence. I'm not sure what else I need to do. I'm on reciprocal health with Medicare.

abhvor87700
does anyone know what I need to do now I have transitioned from 457 to PR? I assume I will need to get a driving licence. I'm not sure what else I need to do. I'm on reciprocal health with Medicare. You can drive with your UK licence for 3 months. You must however get your Aus DL within 3 months to drive post 3 months period. Reciprocal agreements have some limitations. Go to your nearest Medicare and get your full Medicare (if there is such thing). Finally, you need to PARTY! Congratulations. Success2209
Hello guys, hope everyone is doing well quick question Nomination 23/08/15 approved 02/03/15 visa 22/09/15 Waiting how long until I got my visa approve? Will them (immi) do my visa first because I already got my nomination? Or I am still in the queue which means I have to wait maybe after Easter...? thanks

But i would highly recommend to lock it and let admin edit it and get people to read only I agree with @Jazzcrave. But I guess it would be hard for one admin to update all the time as we all might be working full time. So on a second thought, everyone must act responsibly and not screw up the Spreadsheet. AaronJSCarpenter
Dude to be honest i got no clue, i just follow you guys with it. You guys are guru in spreadsheets. But i would highly recommend to lock it and let admin edit it and get people to read only the only problem with that is like me, I stumbled across the spreadsheet a whilst ago and didn't know it had been superseded with a new one until an extensive google search dropped me here and I took it from someones signature. Then I joined pomsinoz.com. After that I realised I couldn't edit the sheet but realised about the html suffix on the URL. Because I was a noob and didn't know who was responsible for the sheet, I wasn't going to bother updating it. This obviously doesn't help anyone. It's catch 22 because you don't want it to get messed up either. Maybe Admins should put contact details on the sheet if they do lock it?
