No update this morning for me but I did get this email last Thursday..

We are seeking to process your application as soon as possible. You will appreciate, however, that all non-citizens applying for visas to enter Australia are considered on an individual basis and against legal requirements set out in Australia's migration legislation. This often includes requirements that all applicants undertake and meet (where relevant) health and character checks.

 

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide you with a definitive timeframe for finalisation of your application. You can be assured, however, that the Department of Immigration and Citizenship staff will do all they can to ensure that your application is finalised as quickly as possible.

My company lodged a nomination July 21st and received the following response: "Thank you for your email. The application has not yet been allocated we are currently working on late June early July lodged applications. Once the application has been allocated you will be contacted accordingly." This was after getting the automated response that said they are working on August applications.

 

So in other words, the timing is not predictable and patience is needed.

We family of three are applying for PR, via ENS transitioning from a 457 visa. We moved here from South Africa in March 2012.

Employer lodged sponsorship on the 8th of August 2014

I lodged, paid and uploaded every supporting document I could think of by the 22nd of August 2014

We completed our medicals on the 3rd of September 2014.

So now I wait and check in on this thread to see how everyone else is doing...

One question: Whats the deal with the Form 80, should I do it only if asked or should we complete and upload it now?

Nomination Applied: 12/08/2014

ENS 186 Application: 13/08/2014

Medicals and Police clearance all provided.

 

Nothing heard till now.

Hi TheHoff! welcome to the thread! We applied via MA and we filled up form 80, I suggest you filled it up and upload so there will be no time wasted when they ask for it.

Thanks for the update...my MA said to expect it within 5-6 months time frame so I conditioned my mind getting it by Jan2015 but still hopeful in getting it before Christmas!
