Sammy77
Hi Has anyone gone from 457 to employer sponsored PR, just wondering what documentation I need to be thinking about getting together and things I need to think of. Thanks in advance Lisa
LKC
We did this. OH had a 457, then was sponsored by his company for PR. We are now citizens. The application for the employer sponsored PR visa is completely separate from the 457 (you don't really go from one to the other), so you will need all of the documentation for a full visa application. I found this list which might be helpful http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/186-/Employer-Nomination-Scheme-(subclass-186)-applicant-document-checklist. Suzukiscottie
Pretty much everything you needed to supply for the 457. Plus possibly form 80, plus health checks, plus Police clearances.
Marisawright
AS LKC says, you don't go from a 457 to PR really. What you are doing is applying for a brand new 189 visa from scratch,so you'll need everything. It's likely your employer will engage a migration agent to do their bit of the work as it's quite complicated.
MaggieMay24
If it's a regional sponsored visa, then it's a 187 visa otherwise it's a 186 visa. You can find the document checklists for each on the DIBP website: http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/186- http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/187-
