cnergaard
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can give info on this. Is it possible to transfer from an Hitachi branch in the Uk. to Hitachi Australia? Or does anyone currently work at Hitachi in Oz? Thanks Kate.
VERYSTORMY
If you have a visa, you can work for anyone. Nothing to do with immigration. It is up to the employer

calNgary
Could you contact Hitachi in Aus and ask? i think that would be the best way to find out. Cal x

Why don't you ask your employer? That would surely be the easiest thing to do.
Wooba
Sorry for going off topic and this is a huge long shot. I've got an Hitachi battery screwdriver. My charger is 120v and I'd like to get the 240v version for when I move to Australia. Problem is, it's damn expensive. Almost as much as I paid for the screwdriver, charger and two batteries. By chance are you able to get schematic for them so I can convert it myself? Thanks..
Eera
Which end of Hitachi are you talking about? Washing machines or off-highway trucks? Couldn't say about the consumer electronics end, but if you're talking heavy machinery I'd say your chances would be slim as there are a lot of diesel fitters and field service technicians looking right now. If you have specialist knowledge maybe, but spanner swinging, I'd say not. There's a big Hitachi workshop near me and they've done a fair amount of layoffs recently.
