Woody
Hi all, Does anyone know if the age of your spouse effects your visa application? What happens if they are over 50? Many thanks
Seppo
Depends on the type of visa..can you give more details???
CaptainC
Visas that allow a dependent or spouse to be an additional applicant have no age limit other than that a spouse/de facto must be over 18 years old.
Woody
Sorry should have given more details. My occupation is on the CSOL so it would be a state nominated or RSMS (Think I have the right letters) I think from your second post that means these visas and it wouldn't matter if my husband was over 50 he would be able to come over and work. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help. Yes, there is no issue with his age. As long as the primary applicant (you) are eligible then it is fine.

wrussell
They cannot refuse a visa on age or on age difference, provided the minimum age is met, but they can and do refuse on 'genuineness'

amibovered
What is genuineness? Sorry to sound thick! I guess they want to be satisfied that the marriage is genuine.
Que Sera Sera
Well my younger Husband dragged me his older wife over without any problems but 10 years of marriage and a joint son together probably helped
Woody
Ah of course. We have been married for 8 years and have three children so that should be enough proof...
