silent77 Posted August 15, 2015 Share Posted August 15, 2015 HI , i am abou to apply for australian citizebship in a week time . i want to clarify that: three identity documents collectively shows name, adress , pic , gender , dob, signature ! wouldnt be australian learner permit and current passort enough for proving all this.? or it is necessary to submitt three documents .? if nayone can clarify this would appreciate . They ask for 3 each, so i'm giving them 3, including a selection of passport/driving licence/school ID/student ID/utilities bill/rego renewal/super statement. Not really worth stressing about. Suzukiscottie Posted August 15, 2015 Share Posted August 15, 2015 When you start the application process online, through your immi account (been that way since April this year), it tells you at the start that you will be required to upload documents at the end of the process. When you go to your account and the specific application, it shows you specifically which documents you are required to upload depending on the information you entered into the application pages (eg birth cert serial no 123456). You still have to get the identity pages verified by a suitable Australian citizen, and upload them too. So I found it just as easy to do the whole paper application anyway since I would still have needed to visit a friend to verify the identities on paper anyway. When I went for my interview, almost everyone seemed to be sent away for not having brought the right documentation. Though we've got 4 1/2 months time until eligibility for our application(s) now it's a requirement to upload all supporting documents? As hubby will apply early February next year during the long summer break when his GP and any attended specialists who know him for more than 12 months are on annual leave for the identity declaration is it possible to let an appropriate person sign the photo verification by the end of November or beginning of December this year? Suzukiscottie Posted August 16, 2015 Share Posted August 16, 2015 The photo verification doesn't require a date on it. Only the words along the lines of "this is a true image of ....." But the person verifying the identity document needs to put the date on it next to their signature. I wouldn't ask anyone to sign anything in advance, it might be a bit awkward for you and them, and probably illegal too. Nobody at work suitably qualified to verify the identities? Just our GP, dermatologist or oral surgeon as dentist and former GP no longer working.... Maybe we are going to ask our Australian Post Manager (on the list) as he should know us for the entirely period we are living here. Hopefully he is Australian! Speaks perfectly Aussie slang but that can be awkward as well hearing the person we'd like to ask replying "Sorry, I've never done my naturalization though I'm eligible for 30 years!" When did you do your photo identity verification? 7 to 10 days prior to your application? Good luck with the application to silent77 + Suzukiscottie. ( decided to do paper applications just for convenience of getting everything filled in, verified and sent off together, it's a nightmare chasing 2 grown-up kids who are never at home!) We had our local pharmacist sign our photo identity paperwork, do you regularly use the same chemist/pharmacy perhaps that could be an option for you?
