Lampong74
My husband and I got our Australia 190 perm visas granted and want to migrate to Melbourne in August 2015. We had a baby 9 weeks ago in the UK which means we have to apply for her visa before we can bring her across ... I want to check the Child visa (subclass 101) *IS* the right visa for a UK baby to get migration/perm visa! I can't just extend our visa by one newborn can I?! Thanks in advance! lebourvellec
Everyone has their own visas, you could only add a baby to an application for a visa which has not been granted, as your visa has been granted you need to apply for offshore child 101 or onshore child 802. Both adults will also require new police certificates. Child 101 visas take 8-12 months to grant, so if planning to go in August it may not have been granted by then, so may need to travel on visitors visa and leave Australia to get visa granted and return to validate. awelter
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/ma1958118/s104.html Don't forget to notify DIBP about your newborn child if you haven't validated your own visa yet.
