Guest
Harsh as it sounds you are going to have to protect yourself in this scenario, until your visa with the new employer is approved you put yourself at risk if your current employer gets wind of it. Worst case scenario is your current employer puts plans in place to replace you, your new employer does not get approval and you end up out of work with no visa, you simply cannot risk that however uncomfortable and unethical it feels. Personally I wouldn't have been using my real name on this forum in that scenario.
Neh
Hi Guys My agent lodged Nomination for 186 subclass on 24/09/14. Received acknowledged letter on 26//09/14 Can I ask for TRN to Lawyer ? Or anything else so can check progress online? Your help will be appreciated  Thanks
MaggieMay24
It's the employer's nomination so many won't give you the TRN since the application may contain company-confidential information. The online status doesn't say anything other than "In Progress" anyway, so no point in following it.

Lemon ginger
If the application was done properly you should expect an answer very soon. do you know whats the average processing time? I was told that its 2-3 weeks, now it has been almost 4 weeks
Raul Senise
It depends on many variables such as processing office, occupation nominated, whether all documents are provided at time of application, etc. It can even depend on the individual case officer. 4 weeks is not unusually long, so I would not start to panic just yet. Or anything else so can check progress online? Your help will be appreciated Thanks for information ! Is there any chance to contact immigration and ask the progress of Nomination procedure , cant totally relay on Lawyer (with the Application ID)? And also can we lodge visa application ourselves after nomination approved or better to go through Lawyer? Could you tell when in advance , we can prepare all documents for visa application while Nomination in process. Any help would be highly appreciated !
