AU Recruitment Agency: How likely they support offshore candidate

Hi All,

 

How likely AU recruiting agency may help getting job for offshore candidate seeking sponsorship? I am waiting for state government sponsorship for the occupation which requires job contract.

 

But as an offshore candidate I am worried how to secure the job.

 

Can anybody suggest any good/authentic recruitment agency in WA?

Most of them are not much help even if you are in oz. It can all depend on your profession though.

It is very unlikely unless you have skills that are almost impossible to source in Australia but that said my OH secured an interview from offshore via a job advert on Seek and was offered the job with sponsorship so it is possible (& whilst his skills were 'in demand' they were not that unique)

I doubt many recruitment agencies would work with overseas candidates unless the skill set was quite unique. Recruitment agencies would already have a database full of local candidates. You'd be better off looking directly for positions via job boards such as Seek. But realistically, it will be difficult to find a job from overseas as most employers want to know the candidate is already legally able to work rather than waiting and trusting they will get a visa.
