troels
I need to ship a record collection (about 40 LPs) from the UK. I've been quoted almost 400 ukp plus fees and insurance by one of the big shippers which is just ridiculous. Are there any better/cheaper ways to do this? Any ideas what this would this cost by courier or royal mail? The value is only a few hundred so no GST implications but the records have some sentimental value. I would appreciate any more cost effective suggestions.
w1johnston
I am using sevenseas worldwide to ship 8 large boxes (61x51x41cm) 30kg limit per box from UK to Brisbane, sea cargo for around £280 + aqis fees + insurance.

ceddy
Have a look on Parcel Monkey, I used them in January, posted over 2 boxes total weight 28 kg price about £120. They arrived within a week
mungbean
I used PSS https://www.pssremovals.com/ - paid £515 for 4 boxes (16 cu ft / 73.3kg). Others here have recommended http://www.johnmason.com/ I also got a quote from http://www.anglopacific.co.uk/ but based on them screwing up (ie. sending a courier and taking my boxes away even though I told them I wasn't going with their quote), I wouldn't be able to recommend them.
