Sammy1
They test blood and urine, so it will show up, yes.
Peach
They test blood and urine, so it will show up, yes. Rubbish.... the only thing your blood is tested for is HIV/AIDS. Urine is tested for diabetes. https://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/22health.htm#d

Peach
Not rubbish at all. Yes, it is. You urine is dipsticked for 'albumin, glucose and blood' and your blood for HIV/AIDS and that is it. No screening for drugs. Sorry if that truth upsets you.

carlhall
You have Xray to see if your free of things like TB. if you have a blood test ( I did not have one for spouse visa) Its a test for HIV or AIDS. Its not a drug test. The urine sample was checked in front of me at the doctors and it was a simple dip test for diabetes

shellyk666
Not only diabetes - but can give early indication for renal and liver problems, as well as traces of blood When I had my urine tested I was told there were traces of blood and protein. I drank lots of water and was allowed to try again, the next time it was clear. I don't think you have to worry about them testing for drugs. AnnB
Thanks for all your comments. And just for the records the medical exam doesn't include any drug testing!!
